If you are planning on attending, please consider making a “box car” with your Scout before the Pack meeting on Nov. 16th, so that he/she can fully participate. Take a look at the example photos from a similar event we did in Feb 2016.
Please remember to bring an unopened package of white socks to be used as “snowballs” (ammunition) during the racing. We will be collecting the socks afterwards and donating them.
Making a “box car” is very simple. Find a box big enough to fit your child (the cardboard recycling dumpsters in Fairfield always has many). Cut arm holes (and head hole if necessary). Decorate and paint. Paper plates can be used as “wheels”. Be creative. Cardboard tubes and tin foil make great accessories.
