Pack 846 hike of the month
High Mountain Park
June 8th (Saturday)
Meet @ 9:00AM
The hike for June is at High Mountain Park Preserve really close to William Paterson University. The name of the Hike is the Summit Trail Loop, and it's a good 'booty buster' with an overall elevation change of 583 feet, and the trail itself is 4.2 miles long. There is a nice lookout point about 2 miles in where we will take a nice break for everyone to enjoy whatever snack they brought.
Meet-up
The parking is on-street only, there is no parking lot for this hike, and everyone should use the address '635 Reservoir Drive, Franklin Lakes, NJ 07417' to park in the same area, and we will meet at the circle between Reservoir Drive and Winding Hollow Drive as seen below. Hiking boots, Rain gear, Backpack and the 6 Essentials for Scouting!
(flashlight, filled waterbottle, whistle, first aid kit, sun protection, and trail food)
